BRITAIN AND PANAMA.
Ten Years' Commercial Treaty Signed. EXTENDED TO DOMINIONS. (Australian Press Assn. —United Service.) PANAMA, September 30. A commercial treaty •which is to remain in force 10 years has been signed by representatives of Britain and Panama. The text was published yes terday. At "present the treaty applies only to Britain and Northern Ireland, but it may be extended to include the Dominions, colonies, possessions and protectorates. It is stipulated that it shall not be applicable to the Canal zone. Another clause is that Britain shall not invoke the stipulations regarding the most-favoured-nation treatment in the treaty with reference to present or future arrangements made with the United States for the construction, maintenance, operation, sanitation and protection of the Canal.
