Moanataiari. —The manager reports that rhe ersseut was advanced sft. a total of ,20ft. The country is much firmer, being of a splendid description, carrying silica veins, and tyack mineral seams. * The crosscut is now getting away from the broken country. A trial crnshing Is being made from a reef adjacent to the main tunnel. A bnlk sample is also being taken out from the open cut on top of the Kuranni Hill, and this will be put through the mill to test its value.
New Waiotahi.—The mine manager reports that the ilrive on the reef passed through .->1 thr 100 mark from the starting point of the crosscut, has been driven on for a distance of 3ft. In breaking down the quart®, a few blotches of fairlv strong Bold were wen. More of the reef will be tHken d"wii and examined early in the week.
