ATHENIAN CLUB.
A very happy -evening was spent by the members of the Athenian Club on Saturday evening. Miss Appleyard was hostess, and a splendid programme was provided. Songs were given by Miss Crook, Mr. Stan Pritchard and Mr. M. Mashiter. A duet was given by Miss D. Youd and Mr. D. Wrathall, Mr. G. Swan gave a recitation, and a 'cello solo was played by Mr. Baird. Miss Appleyard wore a frock of mauve georgette beaded in crystal embroideries. Among those who were pfesent were: Mrs. Jackson Kerruish, wearing black georgette banded in mauve and green; Miss L. Walker, blue shot taffera; Mrs. Mc Kendrick, powder blue crepe de chine and lace; Miss 11. Perkin, cyclamen taffeta; Miss B. Smith, moonlight georgette; Miss E. Anstis, black velvet and gold; Miss Clifton R. Pettit, black satin and lace; Mrs. R. Glover Clark, peach and gold crepe de chine; Mrs. S. Asquith, cyclamen sequinned frock; Miss D. Youd, flame georgette over jade taffeta; Mrs. Middleton, black beaded georgette; Miss K. Chatie. biack taffeta and net; Miss A. Budd, lavender georgette and silver; Miss J. Butler, tissue, and rose georgette; Miss M. Ruddy, geranium georgette; Mrs. S. Kay. black laee and georgette; Mrs. M. Petersen, rose and black ninon with taffeta hem; Mrs. J. Mashiter, navy and silver beaded georgette; Mrs. Feil. powder blue georgette; Miss <i. Teasdale, foam green taffeta with diamante trimming; Mrs. R. Williams, and silver beaded gown; Miss G. Bodle, orchid and mauve sequinned frock; Mrs. Cornish, flesh sequined georgette; Miss D. Titchmarsh, pansy velvet frock: Miss L. Titchmarsh, cyclamen satin; Miss M. Smith, beige ring velvet: Miss Esam. primrose georgette; Miss S. Thompson, blue and silver frock: Miss N. Smith, black brocaded satin and gold trimming; Mrs. Langstaff, black chenille velvet; Miss G. McLeav, black lace frock; Miss H. Moon, blue brocade; Mrs. F. O'Connor, maize georgette; Mrs. P. Franchi. flame and silver; Miss C. Asquith, lily white brocade; Mrs. F. J. Fawcett, black georgette with blue trimmings ; Mrs. W. Curtis, opalescent v blue taffeta; Mrs. Stan Brook, blue brocade; Mrs. C. H. Dredge, blush rose crepe de chine; Mrs. J. B.
