SWIMMING AFTER HIS BOAT.
SUDDEN DISAPPEARANCE
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) FOXTON", this day. Ruapalia Kemp, an unmarried man, aged 30 years, a native of the Wanganui River settlement, was drowned at the Manawatu heads on Saturday evening. He was white-baiting when his boat drifted from the shore. He stripped his clothes off and swam after it, but disappeared when a short distance from the bank. His body has not yet been recovered.
