OTAHUHU BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The Otahuhu Borough Council met laM evening. there being present the Mayo* (Mr. R. B. Todd) and Councillors T. Clements, H. -J. Hall, H. "Wills, J. S. De Montalk, G. V. Pearce, H. R. Linghorn and C, Arlington.
Hail Avenue. —Attention was drawn to the bad state of the footpath in Hall Avenue, which was referred to the Work® Committee.
Crossing.—The council favourably considered a request from J. W. Goodwin, of Nikau Road, for the formation of a crowing to hie property.
Phinkeit Sociey.—A donation of £5 5/ was made.
Traffic Inspector.—Regarding the traffic inspector's services being extended to Papakura, that body replied to the effect that it cannot accede to the term#, viz., payment of £150 per year.
Kindergarten.—A donation of £2 2/ wan donated to the newly-formed local free kindergarten.
Violation of By-laws.—The fact that a. local property owner has two dwellings on one section wa« considered to be agains tthe by-law, but owing to the section being large enough for two dwellings, the owner's attention is to be drawn to certain sanitary requirements. Reserve.—With the intenof making suitable entrances to the monument Reserve, and at the same time preventing cattle from entering, the foreman suggested certain fixtures, which were adopted.
