LINDRUM V. McCONACHY.

AUSTRALIAN STILL LEADING. After eight sessions' play, Walter Lindrum (Australia) is still a comfortable distance ahead of Clark McConachy (New Zealand) in their exhibition billiards match of 18,000 up, which is being played at the St. Jamee' Theatre building. The match continues to attract good attendances. When the match was resumed yei» terday afternoon, Lindrum carried his unfinished break of 80 to 141, recovering position brilliantly on several occasions, in top-of-the-table play, McConachy got 176 and followed this with a break of 59. Lindrum was in good form and added breaks of 108, 47, 55 and 103 and, after the New Zealander had made a break of 58, ran to session points with TO unfinished.

The session scores were:—W. Lindrum, 5250 (in play); breaks, 141, 278, 108, 55, 103, 70 unfinished.

C. McConachy, 3230; breaks, 176, 59, 58.

There was a record attendance at the evening session. Continuing his unfinished break Lindrum took the figure to 164 before missing a slow pot in attempting to retain position. McConachy, however, miscued, (as he did i<rain twice within a short period) ana the Australian, in two successive visits 'n the talile. ndrlf-l breaks of 120 and 117. McConachy registered breaks of 80 and 198, the latter being the result of nice play. Taking full •'dvantnie of the leaves caused by the New Zealander's miscues, Lindrum added 186 and 105 in quick time, but McConachy replied with a good all round effort which yielded 156. The Australian then ran to session points.

The session scores were:—W. Lindrum. KOO2 (in plav); breaks, 164, 120, 117, ISfi. 105.

C. McConachy, 4218; breaks, 80, 198, 156.

The games of snooker at both after noon and evening sessions were won by M(*Conachv.
