! The outbreak of a disease affeeting 1 dairy cattle in the Waikata h&a now practically ceased. an<i altiiougii during the calving period it caused a fair amount of mortalit-y, much.of the anxiety that wae felt has now been allayed.
Referring to the outbreak to-day, Mr. C. V. Dayas, Covemmept veterinary surgeon at Hamilton, said there had been a-decline of trouble & nee the middle of September, ae was usual, and there was no reason to anticipate further moi> tality, ■
