AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.

TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE.

Business was quiet on 'Change yesterday afternoon, and ag%in to-day. Waihi shares, however, are still wanted at 13/2, but Ohinemnri could be got for 7/10.

Goldsborough Mort. sliares sold at £2 11/6, and tor Tanners' Auctioneering ordinary shares £2 17/ is still offered. A sale was made at the noon call of Farmers' Trading ordinary shares at 7/6. Business was also done in Taupiri Coal at £1 6/6 at the first call.

_ There was a better inquiry for shares in timber companies at the noon call. Buyers of Bartholomew Timber advanced their offers to 16/, and that brought in a seller at £1 1/. Kauri Timber are wanted at 19/, and for L.O'B. Timber £1 13/9 was offered. Nationals and Parker Lambs were wanted at late rates.

New Zealand National Bank shares are firmer, buyers offering £7 6/6. Inquiry was m&de for Australian Bank of Commerce shares at £1 13/3, and for Union Bank of Australian at £15 3/. Shares in the E., S. and A. Bank could be placed at £8 15/, but sellers ask another 5/.
