MATAMATA STOCK SALES.
The weekly Matamata stock eale was conducted by Dalgety and Co., Ltd. There was a large yarding and ruling prices for late sales obtained. There wa sa keen demand for dairy cattle of quality, whilet etore pigs were also inquired for. Pricee were :
Beef Cattle.—Fat eowe, £9 to £11 4/; forward cows, £6 to £6 17/6; etores, £3 to £5 15/; cowe with calves at foot, £4 17/6 to £6 15/; yearling Jersey heifere, £4 15/ to £5 1/; yearling Jersey cross heifers, £3 15/ to £4 14/; two-year-old empty heifers, Jersey cross, £5 10/ to £5 17/6. Dairy Cattle.—Heifere, £10 10/ to £11 2(k , J , ereev « r «s heifere, £6 15/ to £10 15/.
Sheep.—A line of fat hoggete, £2 3/. i^igs.—Large storee, £1 5/ to £1 13/6; i« e ' d i U^«f?. rte ' £ J, *° £1 3 /' weanera, io to 18/16; email weaners, 9/ to 13/.
