PILLAR BOXES OPENED.

TELEPHONE CABINETS RIFLED.

OPERATION ON WIDE SCALE

A raid on an extended scale was made last night on telephone cabinets and post pillar boxes in the area between Great South Road and Mount Eden Road. It was found this morning that four telephone cabinets had been rifled and two boxes had been broken open. In the city area the telephone cabinet near St. Paul's Church was forced open and the contents abstracted.
