The semi-final Epeom gmllope took place at Kandwick. on the course proper. The flags were thirty feet cut, and the going was good. Mollison beat Mountain Prince over eleven furlongs, in 2.30. Habashon ran a good six furlongs, in 1.16 J. Cimbrian covered nine furlongs in 1.581. Rionscup did ten furlonjrs in 2.14. In the Shade led Coercion and Rubicon at the end of ten furlongs, taking 2.13J to cover the distance. Winalot and Spearfelt. going nicely, took half a second longer for the same task, while Jeypore did it in 2.15. Fourth Hand led Yodelist over ten furlongs in 2.14 J. Amounis went five furlongs in 1.4 J. but was not fully extended. Prince Humphrey defeated Happy Warrior in en excellent ten furlongs ran, done in 2.11 J. Valparaiso, assisted by Genuine, covered a mile from a barrier start in 1.43. Genuine pulled off after going six furlongs. On the Tan. Teonu beat Jocelyn by half a length, over eight furlongs, in 1.41. The quar-ter-mile took 255, the half-mile 495, and the first six furlongs 1.15. Limerick led Roscrea by half a length at the end of nine furlongs, in 1.155. The halfmile occupied 50s and the mile 1.42.
