WAIHI, Monday.
The annual meeting of the Mataura Cricket Club was held on Saturday evening, Mr. Wallnutt presiding. The secretary, Mr. 11. Maiming, submitted a statement ot" accounts which showed a credit balance of £3 0/6. The batting average for the last season was won by b\ Collins, with 18.42, the runner-up being h. Leopold with 13.57. The bowling average went to A. Henry, who captured >'>4t wickets at a cost of 5.64 runs per wicket. J. Saunders was runner-up, taking 2S wickets for a naverage of 10.39. Officers were appointed as follows:—Secretary and treasurer, Mr. 11. Manning: umpire, Mr. J. Davis; scorer, Mr. C. Capper: delegates to association, Messrs. J. Thorpe and llearn. WHAKATANE CLUB.
