PERSONAL.

Mr. E. Casey, divisional superintendent, North Island Railways, left for Wellington last evening. Mr. R. S. Kenny (Kaitaia), Mr. W. Hodges (Dargaville) and Mr. J. Simson j (Hastings) are at the Central Hotel. Mr. M. J. Savage, Mr. J. A. Lee, Mr. H. G. R. Mason and Mr. W. Jones, M.P.'s, went to Wellington by train last evening. Major-General R. Young, G.O.C. New Zealand Forces, who arrived in Auckland to meet Air-Marshal Sir John Salmond, returned to Wellington last evening. Mr. B. Smith (Dunedin), Mr. B. R. Ling (Christchurch), Mr. H. White and Mr. K. 0. Hale (Wellington), Mr. B. Snedden (Tauranga), Mr. R. Cooke (Te Kuiti), Mr. W. T. Royal (Palmerston North), and Mr. and Mrs. H. Clarke I (London) are at the Star Hotel.
