BILLIARDS MASTERS.

W. LINDRUM AND McCONACHY match starts to-night. The two outstanding billiards players of Australasia, Lalter Lindrum, the Sydney champion, and Clark AlcConachy, holder of the New Zealand professional title, arrived in Auckland by the Aorangi from Sydney this morning. They are due to commence an exhibition match of 18.000 up at the St. James’ Theatre buildings this evening. AlcConachy is the holder of the world’s record opening break (687) made in the match against Fred Lindrum in Australia on this visit, and he has also had a win against Walter Lindrum, who made the world’s record break of 1415 (under new rules) at Alclbourne recently.

After this evening the match will be continued in afternoon and evening sessions until the end.
