COMING HOME.
All Black Team Arrives At Albany. MELBOURNE MATCH SATURDAY (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) ALBANY, September 23. The All Blacks arrived at Albany yesterday morning by the Ceramic after a fairly rough passage across the Indian Ocean. The vessel has been anchored in the roadstead for the past 24 hours, having been unable to berth because of the rough weather. The delay is not likely to affect the vessel’s connection with Svdnev.
The match against Victoria set down for September 27 has now been postponed until the 29th. All the members of the party are well and are looking forward to their arrival home. The Ceramic sailed for Adelaide yesterday afternoon.
MINISTRY OF SPORT.
FRENCH PROPOSAL. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 1.30 p.m.) PARIS, September 23. An influential group of members of Parliament is making an effort to establish a Ministry of Sport. The object is the co-ordinating of national and international sport and generally controlling all sporting activities. A bill is being introduced to establish a Governmental Department of Cinematography for the production of educational films.
AUSTRALIA LEAGUE.
YOUTHS’ N.Z. VISIT. SYDNEY’, September 23. Mr. John Tucker, the organiser of the Young Australia League, is a passenger by the Mara ma. He is visiting New Zealand in an endeavour to arrange for a quota of Dominion youths to join in the league’s forthcoming tour of the United States and Canada.
