SHOWER OF MUD.

Fine Rain Spatters Buildings With Suspended Dust. UNUSUAL OCCURRENCE. SYDNEY, September 23. Strong winds and dust storms in many parts of New South Wales resulted in large quantities of fine dust being held in suspension in the upper air. Fine rain on Friday night brought much of it down. Yesterday morning buildings and people’s clothes were spotted with light reddish mud.

A meteorologist says that though this is an unusual experience in Sydney conditions are such that there may be an early repetition of it.
