AUCKLAND SAVAGES.
VISIT TO TAUMARUNUI.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
TAUMARUNUI, Saturday.
Friday night was a great night in the Tauniarnnui Savage Club’s season, the occasion being the visit of a large party of Savages from the Auckland Savage Club. Rangatira A. S. Laird presided over the preliminary ceremonies, and at his direction the Taumarunui Savages, who had gathered in full force, welcomed their Auckland friends in the approved Savage style. Savage Dr. Parkes then took the chair, and the Aucklanders provided a fine evening’s entertainment for the Taumarunui Savage®. Those who contributed to the programme were Ranzatira Parkes, Savages T. T. Garland, F. Baker, Heath, E. Sly, H. Hayes. G. Holder, Lambert. Harvey, and W. H. V. Taine. Badges of the Taumarunui Savage Club were presented to Rangatira Parkes and Secretary T. T. Garland.
