WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.
BURROWS—GRAYDON. The wedding was solemnised in the Eden Terrace Methodist Church last Wednesday evening of Miss Phyllis De Lina Graydon, only daughter of Mrs. T. Graydon. of King Edward Street, to Mr. Albert Vivian Burrows, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Burrows, of Haslett Street, Auckland. The Rev. Woolloxall officiated. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr. Roy Graydon, looked charming in a dress of white satin with a beaded overdress of silk net, while a long veil, forming a train, was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of white sweet peas, stock, rosebuds and asparagus fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Constance Mephan, a friend of the bride, and Miss Mavis Utting, niece of the bridegroom, while a little niece of the bride, Miss Eleanor Baskett, acted as flower girl. Miss Mephan wore rose pink crepe de chine, and Miss Utting lavender crepe de chine, both having quaint tulle headdress to match. They carried beautiful shower bouquets to tone. Little Eleanor
Baskett was dressed in blue taffeta, with a silver head-dress, and she carried a pretty posy. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. Jack Ross as best man, and Mr. Claude Baskett as groomsman. Mr. Simpson presided at the organ. The church had been tastefully decorated for the occasion by friends of the bride and groom. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Penrith Tea Rooms.
