INSURANCE CHANGES.
STAFF OF LIVERPOOL AND LONDON AND GLOBE. The Liverpool and London and Globe Insurance Company, Ltd., and its associated companies in New Zealand and Australia, the Central Insurance Co., Ltd., and the Thames and MerseyMarine Insurance Co., Ltd. announce the following official changes to take effect as from January 1 of next year:— Mr. Charles Danvers, manager for New Zealand and Australia, will officially retire on pension from December 31, but will relinquish his active duties on September 30. With the resignation of Mr. Danvers, the general manager, Mr. Hugh Lewi*, has decided upon a redistribution of control of the Globe and Central Companies' business in Australia. Mr. T. M. Douglas, hitherto assistant manager, has been appointed 'manager in Melbourne, with supervision over the States of Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia. Mr. Lan A. Brown, manager of the Glo Company at Birmingham, has been appointed manager in Sydney, with supervision over New South Wales, Queensland and the Islands of the Pacific. He will also be "public,officer" of the company and manager for Australia of the Thames and Mersey Company. O. Hargrave, deputy a<ss-istant-manager at Sydney, will become assistant manager. Mr. W. B. Clarke, local manager for New South Wales, will continue to act in that capacity. Mr. W. H. Cowper, who, until eighteen months ago, was South Island manager, was appointed manager for New Zealand at the beginning of last year. The business of the company in New Zealand will hereafter be separated from that of Australia. Mr. Cowper will continue to have his headquarters at Christohurch.
