BATHS MAY OPEN.

m i CHLORINATED WATER.' RECENT TESTS SATISFACTORY, There is a prospect of the Parnell and Shelly Beach Baths being opened for the swimming season about to commence. Conferences have been held between the City Council officials and,the Medical Officer of Health, Dr. T. J. Hughes, and arrangements have been made for the council to take steps to purify the water. If the water is chlorinated it will be quite fit for use. An endeavour will be made to arrange the necessary plant without delay. Two recent tests of the water were satisfactory. Further tests will be made by the Department.
