(Received 1 p.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. John McNeill, aged nine, had his throat frightfully gashed with a razor by his mother while he lay asleep this 1 morning at his home in Rozelle. I The boy rushed screaming into the street, where he collapsed and died before medical aid could reach him. The woman was recently an inmate of an asylum. She left her husband in bed and went for a drink, and presently he heard scfeams. He rushed out, caught his wife and took the razor away after a struggle. ! The woman later was charged with murder and remanded for a week. 1
