ACCEPTANCES NQOit "V^EDNESDAY, The annual race meeting of the Pakuranga Hunt Club will be held at Ellerslie next Saturday. Handicaps are due on Tuesday and acceptances close at noon on Wednesday. . ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES. , v A QUIET MORNING. Owing to a number of the local horses being engaged at the Avondale meeting to-day, there was little.doing at Ellerslie this morning. The No. 2 grass was in use, and the going was fast. Importer and Double Mint were allotted a round and completed the journey in 1.48 3-5. The last half mile was run in 54 3-ss, and Importer, who was running on strongly at the finish, had an advantage when they passed the post. Pompeius was timed to. run his last six furlongs in- 1.26, without being bustled. Corinax and Bombarder completed a six furlong task in 1.17 4-5, both going
Metellus and High Falutin* finished on l l m - 8 over six fur longs run in 1.18 2-5.
