AVONDALE TRACK NOTES.

THIS MORNING'S GALLOPS.

YALKON AND LIAISON GO WELL.

Beautiful spring weatlier prevailed at Avondale this morning for training operations, and there were a number ot interesting gallops. The outside of the .•ourse proper, aixnit 70ft out iroiu tue rails, was available for fast work, and the going was good. The first to work were Nukumai and Bisox, who ran seven furlongs. The lirst three furlongs took 40 3-ss, and the full listanee 1.37. Te Kara, who is looking -well, was not after time when running a mile, the last seven furlongs occupying 1.41 2-5. Te Koroke and Love (Jail sprinted three furlongs in 39 4-ss, finishing together. Maori Boy and Serang ran four furlongs in 53 3-os. Vivo was a shade in front of Benzora aver live furlongs in 1.6 3-5. Envoy and Camp Prince finished in front of Principal over half a mile in 55 l-ss. Valkou was going better than Auriculus over six furlongs, the first three \ taking 38 3-ss, and the full distance i 1.20 1-5. Valkon went well. Luminary ran home from the fourfur long post in 53 l-ss. Jolie Money and Princess Rain were together well in front of Princess Electra at the end of half a mile in 52 4-ss. This was a fair gallop, as the first pair started off slowly. High Pitch ran home from the fivefurlong post in 1.7 2-5. King Lu ran an easy seven furlongs but was not after time. Liaison was slightly in front of Desert Glow at the end of half a mile in 52 3-ss. First Money worked leisurely over five furlongs, taking 1.12. Air King finished in front of Flying Prince over three furlongs in 38 2-ss. Professor and Imperial Prince sprinted a couple of furlongs from the sevenfurlong post to the five in 27 s. They were not ridden out* Mask and Star Stranger did pace work and Hunting Day ran down the straight. The Inside Grass Track. On the inside grass track Royal Mint traversed a round in 1.58 2-5. Billikins ran five furlongs in 1.11 3-5. Flying Juliet went very freely over half a mile in 50 l-ss. Komak covered three furlongs in 39 3-ss. Lysander was going easily when covering six furlongs in 1.26 1-5. Papatu worked steadily over a couple of rounds. Branson sprinted down the straight, and Whaka King did similar work. Blago ran six furlongs in 1.25 2-5. Arrivals. The following horses have arrived at Avondale: Star Comet, Siaosi, Te Kara, Billikins, Ohinemuri, Valda, Miss New Zealand, Valkon and Love Call. Clever will not start in the Avondale Stakes, and Adjuster will not fulfil his engagement in the hurdles. Riding Engagements. P. Brady has been engaged to ride Star Comet, Sir Archie, Komak, and Miss New Zealand at the Avondale meeting to-morrow.
