JUNIOR CLUB ENTERTAINS.

Masses or beautiful blooms of daffodils, anemones and violent* transformed the rooms of the Junior Club into a garden yesterday afternoon when a most successful "At Home" was held. The flowers, charmingly arranged in huge crystal bowls, were placed in positions where they would greet the eye which ever way it glanced. The whole of the club was indeed fragrant with Nature's scent. Feathery bamboo and ferns added to the picture and on the stairways draped flags gave an extra touch of colour. A delectable tea was served in the billiard room and in the lounge. Iceland popies in two shades of gold and apricot were arranged in tall silver vases on the table in the lounge, whilst in the billiard room crimson and white anemones and ranunculi made a splashing display. After tea exciting games were played and the happy faces of the guests indicated the Very enjoyable time they were spending.

On arrival the guests were received by the president, Mr. Mervyn Reed, and Mrs. Reed, who wore a frock of black crepe de chine draped to one side forming aj panel, lined with pastel pink and caught j with a handsome buckle. A tight fitting black hat to match was worn and a white fox fur. Among those who were present were: Lady Sinclair-Loekhart, who wore a frock of black figured marocain and large black hat with floral trimming; Lady Myers, black crepe de chine cape-suit with white georgette pleated panel, platinium fox furs and small black hat; Mrs. A.
