Mr. H. Weaver, chairman of the Works Committee, was deputed to- proceed to Wellington to facilitate finalieing arrangements connected with the road loan proRaleigh Road.—Mr. J. M. McEnnis, chairman of the No. 1 District Highways Council, wrote that the Main Highway* Board was unable to vary its decision not to grant assistance towards the repair of Raleigh Road, which waa damaged by excessive cartage of the material for the construction of the main, highway from Divkrnhcad to Albany.
Facilities for Sport.—lt was decided to ask the Dovonport Ferry Company to give effect to the suggestion of the Ratepayers' Annotation that the cargo boat leaving Birkenlirnd at 1.15 p.m. on Saturdays should raii in at Northcote on the trip to Auckland, an this would be a convenience to the sporting fraternity.
