MAY QUEEN. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. Good progress is being made with the sinking of the Hauraki Shaft. The contractors having now secured a full complement of good practical men, should make better progress. It is pretty wet in the shaft at times, but though the steam raises the temperature further up the shaft, the conditions which the men are working under are fairly good.
