The Devonport Borough Council met last eve.ning. 'Bus Time-table.—lt was resolved to approve of the amended time-table on the De-vonport-Tnkap>;na 'bus service. Perry Matters.—Mr Tlmewell was appivinted to nttend the meeting of the Ferry Company, certain local bodies, and the Harbuur Board in relation to ferry licenses, ""tC. People'u Day.—Tie secretary of the Agricultural and Pastoral Association asked whether the Couucil ronld invite the citizens to observe Saturday, November 30tb, r.s the p-jblir lialf-holiday, instead of November 27th. as the former date was People's "Day hi connection with the Auckland Agricultural Show. It was decided to iiiDevonport .ertdonts observed Saturday, the Council saw no reason to move In the matter. Rubbish Receptacles.—The committee recommended that, as the proposed rubbish receptacles had been found too large for convenient handling, the offer of Mr Fntljames to make four receptacles, 2ft by If! by 2ft sin. for the sum of £4 2/6, be accepted. This was agreed to. Finance-—Accounts were passed for. payment amounting to £181 3/11.
