Beef, ox fores, 2Jd; ox hinds, 4d. River Plate sheep, unchanged. Beef, 03 lores, 2 11-16 d; hinds unchanged. Wheat: A cargo of Australian sold at 34/e. Shares: Waihi G.M. Co., £8 13/9 to £8 16/3; Grand Junction, 37/6 to 40/. BUTTER AND EGGS. The wholesale quotations for butter and eggs for the week ending August 24, are as follows:—Butter, factory, lid per lb; butter, farmers', 7d per lb; eggs, 1/ per dozen.
TALLOW. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., has received the following cable from its London honse: "We quote present spot values for the following descriptions of tallow:—Fine mutton 36/6; good beef, 34/9; mixed, 33/9 per cwt' Good mutton, market easier.
