NORTHCOTE AND BIRKENHEAD
SOIKEE AT NORTHCOTE.
The anniversary services in connection school were brought to a fitting conclusion last evening, when the tea and social gathering tools place In the Gladstone Hail. The Rev. G. Y. Holier. M.A., presided, and the spacious building was nicely filled with the scholars, their parents, and friends. An excellent repast was provided, the tables being in charge of Misses Kushbrook (2), Hopkins, Roberts, Mincher. and Tromain (2). The following piogramme, intcrspersted with various games, was gone through.:—Chorus, junior scholars: recitation, "The Dos; Under The Wasgon." Miss B. Jennings; duet. •Charity/ Misses Hand and Tremain; recitation; "Curfew Shall Not Ring Tonight" Miss K. Hand; recitation, '•Which Love Best," Miss Nellie Sharp; piano solo. Miss Jennie Read: recitation. "The Brave Pilot," Miss Ruth Tremain: dialogue, "The Train To-morrow," Bible-clcss girls. COURT BISKENHEAD, A.O.F. Bro. W. Sampson. C.R., presided over the fortnightly meeting of Court Birkeohead. A.0.F., No. 8886. held last evening. There was a good attendance of members. Two candidates were initiated, and two niore were proposed. Bros. W. V/Allace and P. Queenan were appointed delegates with full powers to take part in the deliberations of the district meeting, which is to be held at the Thames on July 25. Arrangements were made to hold the sixth annual social in the Gladstone Hall on August 9th. The tenders of Messrs Hellaby aud Co. for the catering, and Impey'e band for the dance music, were accepted.
