STRENGTH IN PACIFIC.
AGITATION IN AMERICA.
" TREASONABLE " CAUTION. (Received 7.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, June 30. Both the "New York Herald " and the "Call" (San Francisco) are agitating for the sending of the most powerful warships to the Pacific, where, in their opinion, they are most likely to be needed.
One passage describes as " treasonable nonsense" the policy of keeping a weak force in the Pacific with a view to the United States sparing Japanese susceptibilities.
