SUICIDE AT TAMAKI.
A sincide by poison occurred at Tamai-i West on Saturday night. A man, w wT name is given as John or Bertram EW guson, who had been boarding with a Sf Foubister in that district for a fortiuofct bought a tin of poison foi destroyu,, rats. He was seen spreading poison on a piece of bread, and later, when (Wo* Mrs Foubister's sons went into the ron» he found Ferguson lying on the bed auibl dead. A letter was found in which Fe£ guson stated that he intended comnntthw suicide by taking poison, and asked Mr! Foubister to forgive him for doing iVo» her premises. Ferguson was 50 years J» age, and it is stated that he came &«;». the Thames. He has been suffering from a bad leg. An inquest was held tenia* by Mr A. R. Harris, coroner.
