PAKURANGA HUNT CLUB.
The official opening of the 190" hanting season of th.c Pakuranga Hunt Club took place on Saturday last at the residence of the Master, Mr H. T. Gorrie, Three Kings. The weather was fiDe, and there was a large attendance, amongst the number being Mesdamee Bloomncld and Moody, Misses R. and X. Gorrie. Buckland. Harris, and Kelly. Messrs H. T. Gorrie (Master). A. Selby (huntsman). B. Myers, Adams, Simmons, D. Gorrie, C. Wallace. De lass, Deniston. Kinloch (Si, Lloyd, Selbv (3), W. R. Bloomfield. Darts (2). Morris. Kay, Murray. A. Wilson, Gray (2>, Hathaway, Grant, DaHon. Reid. Austin Davison, Scott. Anderson. Tonirs. Hunt, Sir Robert Loekhaxt. and Captain Morrow. In addition to those riding there were also a large number driving. After Mr Ash's property had been traversed without success, the honnds were thrown off on Mr Winstone's, and a strong hare was soon put up. Puss put up a great run, eventually getting into a paddock where there were a number of ewes, and the hounds were called off. After the run the party returned to the residence of theHaster, where refreshments were partaken of, and subsequently all present assembled on the lawn, where Sir Robert Lockhart called for three cheers for the Master and Mrs Gorrie, which were Beartily given, and the company then disnersed.
