PEACE ADVOCATE KNIGHTED.
(Received 10.36 a-m.) LONDON, June 28. Among those knighted is Mr. William Cremer, Liberal-Labour M.P. for the Haggerston Division of London, and a notable advocate of international arbitration. Mr. Arthur Morgan, President of the j Queensland Legislative Council, has been created a Knight Bachelor.
[Mr. William Randal Cremer, who is j 6S years of age, is a. veteran advocate of International Arbitration, and of a treaty between the United States and Great | Britain. He is the founder of the Interparliamentary Union, which has held' conferences in all the chief capitals of Europe. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize of £8000 in 1903, and gave £7000 of that sum to the funds of the International Arbitration League. He is a Chevalier of the French Legion of Honour.]
