At a meeting of the Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugb.r Union It vras decided 'that the matcTi between tne Auckland and Buller Unions for the Ranfurly Shield -would he looked-np as a special challenge match. It was resolved. that tlicrecent life disqualifications imposed on three persons "by Bie Haivlie's Bay Union for €tie use of abusive language be. made general. ■«" The decision of the N.Z.R.U. with regard to the Auckland-Buller match means tnat the net profits, after paying the expenses of both teams, will be handed over to the New Zealand R.U, When the, challenge of tie Buller "'jnion -was accepted by AjxcUland it was understood that the Buller team was on tour, tie secretary stating that Kelson and Jlarlborongh were to be, played on the way to Auckland.
