Greeßslade, and B. and tr. aunt. - BIBKBJfHEAD BAXD OF HOPE. The winter session of the Birkenhead Band of Hope was opened last in the Weslej-an Schoolroom. The chair was ercnpied by Mr. F. Sooster, and the building was packed with au enthuslasric audience. The proceedings took the form of a concert, the programme being as follows: —Pianforte duet. 'MJss E. and Master Ailnn Wbite: recitation. Miss Evplyn Wilson; song, ".The Gift." Mrs. Ed. Wallis; recitation. Miss Dorothy Pitt: pianoforte solo. Miss N. Whiter: recitation. Miss Ada Pitt: address. "The Erils of Drint." by the chairman: recitation. Miss Gwen. Pitt: recitation. Mr. H. Rawlinson: two dis!ognes. tntitled "Whom Should W(> Marry;" and "Oct of Work." Trbicii caused considerable diversion, were fiven by the ladies and seven little sirts.
