A golf tournament Tas held at ;be OUoroire golf links on Empire Day, May 24. Owins? to heavy rain tue night previous STid during the day, a mimber were p.-Jveuted from going out. The ■winner of the sold medal was Mr. George H. Bloomlield, of Auckland; second prize, Mr. E. Horton, Auckland; third prize, Mr| J. R. Rendeli, Auckland. The ladies' competition, vvliicli was to have taken place on Saturday, had to be postponed owing to the heavy rain. The next competition for cup and other prizes will be held in November.
