THE NEW ELECTORATES.

ONE GOE3 TO WELLINGTON. AUCKLAND SEAT UNCERTAIN. CBy Telegraph.—Freaa Association.) WELLINGTON. Monday. The Representation Commissioners for the North and South Islands are still considering the boundaries of the new electorates. It is expected that the South Island Commission will conclude its labours in a day or two. The North Island Commission , has a more difficult task. Three new seats have to be allotted, and there are difficulties of considerable importance which will result in a good deal of delay, not to speak of possible friction. So far only one thing appears to be certain, viz., that one of the three new seats in the North Island will go to Wellington. The allotment of the other two seats is more difficult. WELLINGTON, this day.* It transpires that the North Island Representation Commissioners are faced •with a troublesome task in regard to the allotment of the three new seats gained by this Island, and it will probably be Thursday or Friday before the difficulty is adjusted. One of the seats is certain to be annexed by Wellington, but the placing of the other two is bothering the commissioners muchly, and it is uncertain now whether Auckland will secure one of the plums. The chances are she will. It is within the bounds of probability that Wellington wtol gain two of the three seats at dispovaL In some quarters it is believed that TaianaM will obtain an additional seat.
