New Volunteer Reserve Force. (Received 10.28 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. The Victorian branch of the National Defence League has laid an important ' scheme before Mr. Deakin, the chief pro- ! posal of which is the establishment of a ! volunteer reserve force. Mr. Deakin has intimated that the lines advocated by the League were those upon which the , Commonwealth would proceed.
