The yachts are to be in their allotted positions off the Queenstreet Wharf at 10 a.m. The sailing boats and launches of the squadron, under Commodore C. P. Murdoch, are to take up positions behind the flagship Ida, as set out in the printed form available at the Squadron rooms. The boats of other clubj are to take up their positions behind the Squadron boats, and are to act under the orders of their respective Commodores, who will take the signals from the yacht Ida. Each yacht will keep a distance of from three to four lengths astern of the preceding one, and by the "free use of sheets" endeavour to keep this distance apart. c If the wind is S.W. or westerly, the power yachts will form the port division in forming

"in line astern," and will keep that position in manoeuvring "on the wind" whether tacking in succession or to- , gether. "In line abreast," running down the harbour, power yachts will form the leading line, and when the signal Is given "Haul on the wind," they will perform the same movements as sailing yachts. On the signal '"Tack in succession/ they will come around the end of the line and form tne "weather" division, always keeping on the port side of sailing yachts. If the wind is northerly, southerly;, or easterly, power yachts will form the starboard division, carrying out the same movements, but always remaining on the starboard side of sailing yachts.
