WAIKATO NOTES.

HAMILTON, this day
A young man named Matthew Bowser, who had been employed in Hamilton for three months, died in the Waikato Hospital last night of typhoid. He had been out from the Old Country twelve months, and had no friends in the colony.
Fish continue plentiful here, and more have been caught since November 1 than during the whole of last season. There is every appearance of a most satisfactory year. A pleasing feature is that most of the fish are quite young, thus proving beyond doubt that the trout are breeding in the river, a. matter about which considerable doubt has formerly existed. . ..
