SEVERE FACTION FIGHTING. CHARGES BY THE POLICE. i Received 5.27 a.m.) LONDON. November o. Much desperate faction-fighting occurred at Gahvay. Tho police charged repeatedly, using their batons, and numerous arrests were made. Both candidates demanded legislative independence for Ireland. The bishops and priests supported Mr. Gwynn, the Nationalist, who was eventually returned.
