DEATH OF MYRA KEMBLE.
Miss My-a Kemble (Mrs Jamea White), once among the most popnlat of Australian actresses, died in Met , bourne on the 2!) th ultimo. Her health! gave way under the strain of professional life, and for some years past she ha 4 lived in semi retirement. Irisn by birth, she was taken to Australia at an early| age, and educated at Geelong convent school. For some years she held the place of "leading lady" in various com* panics, and was one of the most capable! of actresses, being equally a favourite ill all the cities of Australia and New Zea* land. .She paid her first visit to Eng< land in IS9O, when she purchased the colonial rights of "Dr. Bill," by Hamilton Aide, which she afterwards produced with brilliant success in the Criterion Theatre, Sydney.
