Canterbury bra.mls are quoted at ii'iii, a"" other than Canterbury at uid. The beef market is firm, and with more demand. Uind quarters are quoted at 4id, and ror«quarters at oid. The butter market *is firm, with good demand. The New Zealand new season's make, ex Karamea, arrived in good condition. Choicest New Zealaud is quoted at 116/; Danish, 123/; Siberian, 10.V per ewe The cheese market is firm, but the demand is only moderate. Canadian makes are quoied at 63/ per cwt., and are iv groat u>maml.

The ixemp market is very • strong. G.F.A.Q., Wellington on spot is qnoted at £37. October and Detcmbor shipments sold at £36 10/, and January and J\larr:i shipments at £33 10/ per ton. Fair current Manila, on .spot, is worth £42 10/ per ton.

The stock in hand is RBS tons. Jiuyers arc offering more freely cocksfoot, seed; clean dressed (17 lb) seed is quoted 4-1/ per cwt.

Kauri gum is quoted ut 145/ per cwt. Ordinary fair to three-quarter scraped lots, ajid fair half-scraped, £5; brown fair ro half three-quarter scraped, On/; picking, common good, 47/6; .bush, fair to good pale amber, scraped, 152/6 per cwt.

The grain market is very quiet. New K-ealand loug berried wheat on spot (004 Ibri) is quoted at 'J£>/; short berrier, 2S/6; New Zealand- sparrowbill oats 3S4lbs) 5s worth 25/; New Zealand Danish oats, 19/ per 3d>lbs. New Zealand heans, f.a.q., new crop are quoted at 34/ per 504 lbs, ;n a quiet market. Prices slightly weaker. New Zealand partridge peas, 504 lbs, 44/; blue peas, 36/. A quiet market, but a large speculative demand. Tallow: Prices have advanced to 40/ per ton, and the upward movement is likely to continue.
