N.Z. CROWN MINES.
PAEROA, Monday. I am pleased to learn that the intended closing of the above mines has beon rendered unnecessary, as during the last few days important developments have taken place. On Friday night a shot was put in and .brpusht down some valuable ore. At the No". 5 level good stcuie is being obtained, and as there are 800 ft of backs there is a probability that good results will be continuous. More men have been put on, and the battery is now working two shifts daily.
