The factory-owners of St. Petersburg have informed the Minister for Finance of their inability to comply with the workmen"- demands. They "added that ■.vide reforms of a general "political char actpr alone will satisfy them.

Owing to the attitude of the St. Petersburg strikers the Franco-Russian dockyard, the Russo-American factory, the Xevski and several " other establishments hare been closed, and will not reopen for two months.
