There Is every indication that, the death of the Grand Duke Sergius, far from bringing about a reaction from the revoiiitiQnaiy attitnde, i≤ inclining to further its acceptance. Wliile further rejoicings are announced from Odessa, it is stated thai throughout Russia the news has been recerred without a sigrn of regret. Even the Moscow Council's message confined itself to eulogising the virtues of the royal widow, and omitted comuaitta.l reference to the late Grand Duke. Meantime St. Petersburg is being flooded with the most violent revolutionary literature, and one leading newspaper speaks out boldly on the need tor reform. It is stated that the revolutionaries have sentenced to dea-th fourteen revolutionaries, including Vladimir. Trepoff and the Dowager Empress.
