WAIKATO NOTES.

HAMILTON. Monday. A meeting of the Farmers' Club was held on Saturday night. Among other things, auctioneers' charges and commissions were discussed, and the opinion was expressed that these -were most excessive. It xras suggested that farmers should employ their cwn auctioneers, several speakers stating that the farmers as a whole were in an independent position to do so. The matter was deferred till nest meeting pending replies from other branches of the Union. Mr. Clifton was present, and at his invitation it was decided that the farmers of Waikato should visit the experimental farm omie a month and ■watch the progress of experiment. , ? and suggest others. A lad named Trew, residing at Waingaro, •was admitted to the hospital today. A cow kicked him. severely sprain- | ing his ankle.
Frankton defeated Ngaruawahia cricket team by 69 to 4S.
