_ At the aimnal meeting pfjtfie Auckland Harbour Board this afternoon Mr. Lasou moved and Mr. Basley seconded -a mo don that the Hon. E. Mitchelson, Mayor of Auckland., should be elected chairman for. the ensiling year. ' "■
Some discussion folio-wed, in which Mr Philson suggested that it would be inadvisable to have a fifth member of the City Council on tlie Board, a-s It would give that Council a preponderating influence. He explained, however, that 'he had no personal objection to Mr Mitehelson.
.Finally Mr Mitchelson was unanimously elected chairman.
