ACTIVITY OF KUROFATKIN. JAPS THREATEN THE RAILWAY. LONDON, February 19. General ELuropatkin is now strengthening and extending both his flanks. He has now concentrated six divisions at Fushun, to the east of Mukden, and directly in front of General Kuroki _ army. The weather is still unfavourable for military operations, but the excessive cold will soon be at an end The Japanese front extends for forty miles. Japanese cavalry are again threatening the railway to the north of Mukden. Field-Marshal Oyama reports that the advance of the Russian cavalry to the south by way of the Hun River has been checked, and that the Russians are retiring.
