The Government has warned the managers of the Putiloff iron works that the orders for war material they have in hand must be promptly dealt with- or I < they will be placed abroad. I' The managers, in consequence of this !"' threat, have withdrawn from 10,000 of i) the strikers permission to obtain food ' on credit. This act has led to general - dissatisfaction among the strikers. ' There are now 30,000 strikers in St. s Petersburg. ' Cossacks and other troops are held in ' readiness to suppress disturbances.
